Growing More Than a Garden
Our school garden is thriving thanks to the dedication, teamwork, and care of our amazing students! From tending tomato plants to nurturing leafy greens, every seed planted represents hands-on learning, responsibility, and a commitment to sustainability. Through ...cultivating and caring for this garden, our students are gaining valuable lessons in teamwork, patience, environmental stewardship, and the rewards of hard work. We are proud to watch both our plants and our students grow together.
Our primary students have been busy developing their green thumbs in the school garden! By planting, watering and caring for our tomatoes, onions, broccoli and various other vegetables students learned valuable lessons about nature, responsibility and healthy living. It has been exciting to watch ...the garden grow and the children have taken great pride in helping to create a beautiful and thriving outdoor learning space.
Grade 11 Group 4 Project
Each year, our Grade 11 IB students complete an integrative science experience known as the Group 4 Project. This year’s theme was ‘Self-sufficiency, Can We feed ourselves?’. Students and teachers visited Bluefields Farm for a guided tour and lecture series ...on aquaponics, hydroponics and sustainable farming practices. Students were then challenged with designing and presenting their own self-sufficient farm. We were pleased with their display of 21st Century Skills through this project. Not only did they think critically, but were creative, collaborative, and communicated well.

Our Grade 6 students enjoyed an exciting and immersive visit to Junkanoo World, where they learned about one of The Bahamas’ most treasured cultural traditions. From performing energetic rush outs ...with drums and cowbells to designing masks, trying on costumes, and discovering how Junkanoo drums are made, students experienced the vibrant spirit of Junkanoo firsthand.

In our early years, Montagu Beach Hotel generously opened its swimming pool to our students for practice sessions, helping young swimmers develop their skills and confidence in the ...water. Our annual Swimming Gala was also held at the pool of Emerald Beach Hotel, where students showcased their talent, determination, and school spirit.
These cherished memories remind us of the partnerships and traditions that helped shape our school's journey. Here's to the many students, families, and community members who have been part of our story over the years!

What an incredible year for our Governor General Youth Award (GGYA) participants at St Andrew’s International School!
After months of training, our students successfully completed their Adventurous Journey expeditions, including hiking and camping trips in Eleuthera. Demonstrating ...teamwork, resilience, determination, and leadership, they navigated routes using maps and compasses while supporting one another every step of the way.
We are especially proud to celebrate the growth of the programme this year, with 24 students successfully completing their Adventurous Journey section—an amazing achievement!
In addition, 10 students completed all the requirements for their full Bronze Award, including Physical, Skills, and Volunteering activities over six months. We look forward to celebrating even more students as they complete their awards in the coming months.
Congratulations to all of our GGYA participants on their hard work, perseverance, and success. We are proud of you!
